14 months!

Ever since Parker hit the age of ONE, he has been growing, learning and changing so much. He is really starting to interact with us and the job of being his mommy, while super busy, is absolutely the most rewarding job in the whole world. He is finally signing "more", "milk", "water" and "all-done" without any problem!! I tried to start teaching him how to sign when he was six months old and it is just the most amazing thing to see him finally get it. He can say "dada", "mama", bye", "hi", "bath", "dog", and his favorite..."no"! Of course, these words are all said in his own precious little Parker dialect, but he says them nonetheless! He literally talks ALL the time and primarily sounds as though he is from Slovakia, but looks at me as if I should be understanding every word he says. He still loves to climb, and his latest obsession is to climb and then stand up on top of the coffee table. He likes to dance (especially when he hears the "Hot Dog Song" from Mickey Mouse Clubhouse) and his best move seems to be some sort of a back and forth elbow combo that is beyond precious. He can "point to mommy", find his head/tongue/ear/belly button, and one of my favorites--he will reach up, grab our hand and take us to where/what he wants. (usually its to the back door to go outside!) Truly, I am blown away by how much he understands and how much he is doing...Parker is definitely not a baby anymore! I think that out of every change he has made and every milestone he has hit, my very favorite is that he now gives the best, sweetest, most adorable little kisses in the whole world! Complete with the "mmmm-wah" sound and all. It just couldn't possibly melt your heart more than that! Here are a few pics from the past couple of weeks....summer has been busy, busy!

Thomas Family Summer Vacation

We recently got back from one incredible week in Grand Cayman!  It was Parker's first big vacation, which meant it was also his first time on an airplane, first international passport stamp and first time at the beach!  Lots of firsts for this one year old!  We went with PawPaw, Gigi and Uncle Colby and had such a great time.  From the gorgeous condo that was literally steps from the beach to the stunning views and incredible food - it was truly an unforgettable family vacation.  PawPaw and Gigi spoiled us once again and we could never say thank you enough for such a special trip!

All decked out in his studly beach attire on the way to the airport

We worked on getting all of his energy out before getting on the plane...but still, no luck in getting him to sleep during the flight.  Aside from wanting to get off our laps, he was quite a trooper during the three hour trip.

We made it to Cayman!  And that's one tired baby!

He immediately fell asleep when we got in the taxi...here we are waiting to check-in to our condo.  Our world traveler, or MVP, as PawPaw would call him, was pooped!

Checked in to our condo, opened the back door and this was the view!  Tell me that's not ridiculous.

Parker was apparently so excited to be at the beach that he couldn't sleep past 5:30am.  He started the day off with Mickey while mommy had some coffee.

The view from the beach of the huge patio on our condo...this place was truly amazing!

Daddy and Parker playing in the sand together

LOVE them.

First time in the ocean!

He LOVED it!

Really?!  Yes, really.  A view that could never get old.

A restaurant that we went to is know for having parrots...Parker wasn't quite sure what to think of them, and vice versa!

Just one of many amazing meals we ate!

Hello, most adorable beach bum in the world.

I really think this is where they film those Corona commercials!

Don't you just want to eat him up?! Gigi has great taste and bought him those precious glasses.  He barely kept them on long enough for a picture...but I managed to snap this one and I love it!

I just thought this was too cute.  I went in to check on him one night and it looked like he was holding on for dear life in his sleep.

A brotherly toast!

We spent most mornings like this...just me and my Sweet P playing in the sand.  A mental photo I'll never forget.

He had an entire ocean to play in, but his favorite spot was the bucket we were supposed to use to get sand off our feet!

I am in LOVE with this boy.  And this picture!

Mommy and Parker all sun screened up and ready to swim!

Parker and Gigi had fun swimming

It was only fitting that we would see a pirate ship since "Jake and the Neverland Pirates" was on Disney every single morning at 6:00am!

At lunch one day a little lizard came by to try and steal a few crumbs that Parker had dropped...here he is trying to find it...

So cute!  He was very intrigued by the lizard!

And bummed when it went on the other side of the glass and he couldn't get to it

This kid loves frozen blueberries!

I love what they do to his face!  Super messy, but super cute.

Building sandcastles...

He's "all done" with building castles!

Uncle Colby, PawPaw and daddy played catch

Tyson's adorable idea for our family of three

My boys.  LOVE my boys.

Such a GREAT pic!

Parker loves his PawPaw and Gigi!

Building Sandcastles with PawPaw...

Priceless.

Parker loved Gigi's hat!

One afternoon there was a race with nearly 600 people swimming the entire stretch of beach!

That Gigi...she's so cute!

Those neon orange ear plugs sure are fashionable, aren't they?

So sweet.  I just love them!  I think I couldn't be more blessed to have such a precious couple as my second parents.

Sunsets are quite possibly one of my favorite things on this earth.  How can you look at it and not see how beautiful God is?

Cheers to SIX years with this handsome guy.  I am BLESSED.

Parker and Uncle Colby were hanging out before dinner one night...

See that look on his face?!  It's pure happiness because he found more buttons to push!

Obsessed doesn't begin to describe the way he feels about pushing buttons.  He truly could not get enough of this safe!

So happy to be a part of such a sweet family!

Daddy with his "complimentary" cocktail that came with his steak dinner...definitely not something he would usually order on his own!

He's never really serious, is he?

And yet another insanely good meal!

Hello, gorgeous!

One night, PawPaw and Gigi offered to babysit so that Tyson and I could have a date night out...we got fancied up and then walked down the beach to the Ritz where we went on our honeymoon 6 years ago...

Great drinks + beautiful sunset + alone time with my hubby = paradise.

We found a crab that wandered really far from the shore...surely he doesn't live in the grass??

Just let him drag around a loaf of bread and hide in the curtains and he's happy.

Parker has started grabbing on to our hands and leading us somewhere when he wants something...it is TOO cute!

Usually, he just wants to be outside.

Yet again, another delicious meal and beautiful sunset on our last night of the trip.

Great picture!

There's nothing like eating a great meal and spending time with your family while looking at this.

Parker was getting a little antsy at dinner so the waitress suggested ice cream...why not?!  He's on vacation!

Yep, he loved it!

It's always a bummer when such a wonderful vacation has to come to an end...

Parker was so worn out from a week on the beach that he actually slept on the flight home!

I don't think a picture could be any sweeter.
