Quick catch-up

Spring has sprung in Texas and Parker James has been loving every beautiful outside minute of it. He loves to do just about anything outside, whether it's playing at the playground, digging in the dirt, or driving his cars around on the driveway. His absolute FAVORITE thing to do as of late, is "drive daddy's truck". The very second that he hears his daddy pulling into the garage after work, he races to the back door with his precious little hands just dying to get themselves on the steering wheel. He desperately wants to help daddy mow, work on the sprinklers or do just about any other fun job involving big sharp tools outside. He is crazy about dump trucks and bulldozers and lately, he loves watching "Nemo" and Little Einsteins....saying "blastoff!!" as he watches it has to be one of the cutest things I've ever heard. He can say SO many words and is even starting with small sentences like "I hold Gigi" or "Watch this mommy"! Tyson and I are biased, but we're pretty sure he's a genius baby. Here are some pics from our recent trip to the zoo with friends and playing outside...

G'day Mate!

We had an absolutely AMAZING vacation to Australia.  We spent 2 weeks with our best friends, Meg & Paul and their son Jasper, doing all of the things that we loved to do while we lived there...from breakfast and sunsets at the beach to Kings Park to a Gold Class movie to drinking awesome coffee and indulging in their yummy chocolates...we jam packed two weeks full of great memories.  We got to see and catch up with most of our old friends there and we even took a trip down south to Margaret River (a region known for their gorgeous beaches and vineyards) for four nights.  Meg and Paul are from there, so they showed us around properly and we absolutely loved it!! Parker was such a champ on ALL of the flights THERE and BACK...we couldn't have asked for him to be a better traveler to the other side of the world.  He loved playing at the beach and chasing the birds, and loved paling around with Jasper for two weeks.  I'm pretty sure I took over 800 pictures, and I tried my best to narrow it down to 250....enjoy!

Introducing Parker to Dome!  He looks excited, huh!?!

 Hillary's Boat Harbour

 Two GREAT Dads

Playing with the Smith kiddos...he loved their skateboard

Time to swim at the beach!

Squatting down to REALLY jump high into the waves...too cute!

See the bird way off in the distance...Parker is trying to chase it...

 ...still trying...

 ...still trying...bless his heart!

We took the boys on a "train" ride into the city...

Such a hot day, we had to get an ice cream treat!

We had breakfast in Kings Park for Meg's birthday, and Parker loved playing on the playground...

 ...and playing in the water...

 ...and chasing more birds!

 Happy Birthday to Meg!

It was a HOT day at Kings Park...

...but every BIT as beautiful as we'd remembered.

Of course, we had to make a stop to see our old "home"!!

Sunset and Fish & Chips at the beach....

 Chasing birds...AGAIN!

Too cute!  He got to go for a "ride" at the store with koalas!

The Smiths had a bbq for us with all of our old friends...it was so neat to catch up with everyone and to meet all of the kids/babies we've had over the past three years!

One of our aussie friends, as it turns out, is a HUGE RGIII fan and even showed up wearing his jersey.  I thought he was going to faint when I told him that my cousin is engaged to him and I know him...he really must be the biggest Australian RGIII fan out there!

A new place "San Churros" opened up in Perth and it's a realllllly good thing they didn't exist when we lived there or we would've spent all of our money on chocolate and churros!!

We though his Uncle Colby would be so proud...

 Hunting for crabs...

 I love this pic!

 They got one!!

 Chasing LOTS of birds again!

Petting a "quoka" at Caversham Wildlife Park.

Naturally, we had to make a trip back for "brekkie" at the beach!

There was a random black swan swimming in the ocean while we were there!

Meg & Paul's beautiful new home!

Just look at all of the greenery in their neighborhood!

We are left with wonderful memories of two amazing weeks that flew by us in a flash!
