Happy HEART Day!

Oh, Valentine's Day how I love you!  You're a reminder each year of the very first date I had with THE LOVE of my LIFE.  I love the fact that each year on a day dedicated to love, I am reminded of a few hours in a coffee shop spent talking, laughing, and getting to know the amazing man that would become my soul mate, best friend, husband and father of my children.  That was eight years ago.  Eight years filled with SO many amazing memories and blessings...Fish Camp, shakes, movies, trampolines, LAUGHTER, college graduations, an unforgettable engagement, first jobs, an out-of-this-world wedding & honeymoon, a brand new home, a year in the Outback, TRAVEL all over, forever friendships and without a doubt, one of the best things we've ever made or done or experienced....the LOVE of being parents to our precious baby boy!

This year on Valentine's Day, Parker and I had a date to the library for baby storybook time!  It was quite comical watching all of the babies and parents listen to the stories and do the activities with them.  Parker was a bit confused at what on earth we were doing for most of the time, but once they brought out the bubbles and toys and he was free to roam, he decided he really liked it!  Papa delivered a very special Valentine's Day present to the door for Sweet P...and he certainly LOVES his train!  I spent the day trying to prepare for mommy and daddy's date night in...we had an awesome dinner, insane dessert and spent some quality time just visiting on the patio together.  He surprised me with the sweetest card ever (from Parker) and my very own cheesy box of chocolates!  My husband is perfect for me and  I LOVE HIM SO MUCH!

Thank you, Papa!!  I love my Thomas Train!!

Date night in!!

My very own cheesy box of chocolates that I wanted SO badly!  Finally, no one can get mad at me for only taking a bite of one!

PawPaw & Gigi come visit!

PawPaw and Gigi came to visit for the weekend and we had the BEST time together!  They watched Parker so that Mommy could finally use the spa gift certificate that her amazing husband gave her for Christmas...and boy oh boy, did she appreciate the pampering!  I think Gigi and PawPaw enjoyed their time with Parker even more than that though, if that's even possible!  They of course came bearing gifts for Parker for Valentine's day...he got several cute new outfits and a HUGE Valentine teddy bear!  We had several awesome meals together and an all around wonderful time just being with each other.  Have we mentioned how much we LOVE our families??

PawPaw and Parker were working on his standing skills!

 Parker sure loves his PawPaw!

He's very curious about facial hair!

Parker introduced Gigi to his BFF, the dishwasher.

 Gigi and her little man!

 Sweet, sweet memories!

We had an amazing meal at Brio, and Parker LOVED their bread.  He took this huge piece and pretty much gnawed it down to nothing by the end of the night!

Parker learned to climb up the stairs that weekend too!

He was VERY proud of himself.

His other new trick that he learned just for Gigi and PawPaw!  Ask him "How big is Parker?!" and he responds like this!  SO BIG!!

The Super Bowl

We hosted our very first Super Bowl Party this year and it was a HIT!  We had several (28 to be exact!) adults and kiddos over and were looking forward to using the patio that Tyson has worked so hard on for events just like this....but the weather had a different plan.  It was REALLY cold, but we had a few troopers who bundled up and watched the game outside on the patio...thanks for all of your hard work out there, baby!  We are so lucky to have such a GREAT outdoor area for hanging out!

Parker wanted to help daddy get everything ready

 My gosh, he's cute!

 My two cutie pies!

 LOVE this!

This doesn't even begin to show the craziness that was going on in our living room during the game!  I'm not sure how much of it actually got watched!

Not only are we so glad to have them back from Saudi Arabia...we are SO lucky to call them neighbors!!  Blake and Rebecca bundled up and braved the cold!

Aunt Katie and Uncle Keith also braved the cold!  They stayed out all the way until halftime...troopers!!
