A quick update!

Things have started getting busy with summer rolling around and fun road trips on the weekends! As a matter of fact, I was looking at our calendar the other week, and we will be out of town for the next FIVE weekends in a row!  Crazy busy, but LOTS of fun coming our way.  Especially with a Thomas Family Vacation to Grand Cayman in June with Tyson's fam!  Here are a few pics of Parker and the fun he's been having...

Literally, ALL he wants to do is climb on things.  Anything and everything he can find to climb on, he does!  This was at Aunt Kelly's house....if we had one of those tables in our house, it would be his favorite thing in the world!

He got this activity table for this birthday and look how he has decided to use it...as a climbing stool!  He seriously stood up right on top of it after I took this!

He spent the weekend with Nona and Papa because Tyson and I went on our first entire weekend trip alone with some of our friends to Austin...he looks so big with his backpack on!

We stopped off at his cousins' house before we went on our trip to say hi!

He had a blast with Nona and Papa at the lake for the weekend....Tyson and I were pathetic and couldn't stop talking about how much we missed him!

In the meantime, he was having too much fun to miss us!!

It's really starting to get HOT here, so last week for playgroup we went to a splash pad and he LOVED it!

He had so much fun that I took him back the next afternoon to play again!

I met a couple of friends at Monkey Joe's to play the other day and Parker had a great time climbing around...

But believe it or not, this was his favorite part!  He was in love with these games!

 LOVE this face!!!!

He even looks like a Flintstone with those bare feet!

Tyson was DYING to see The Avengers so we had a date night out and the sweet mom (Tracy) of one of my very favorite students EVER(Tyler) said she would babysit....Tyler-who is now almost in SEVENTH grade-was so precious and fed Parker his snack and then gave him his entire set of old building blocks from when he was little!  How sweet is that?!

Too cute!  He loves those drinkable yogurts!

Happy Mother's Day!

My second Mother's Day as a mommy, and I can't help but think about how incredibly blessed I am to have had such an AMAZING mom to learn from. She gave us roots and wings and poured so much love into us...I can't imagine where I would be without her! Not only that, but lately, the best part about having her for a mom is that Parker gets to have her as a grandma! God not only gave me a great mom as a baby, but in marrying Tyson, he gave me another GREAT mom in Garla. Words cannot express how lucky I feel to truly have the BEST mother-in-law in the world and how grateful I am for the way she loves me like one of her own. And again, for the way she loves my baby boy!
Today was a perfect day to celebrate being a mom--the best, most tiring, but incredibly rewarding job I will ever have in my life! It started off with beautiful roses and a card hand delivered by Sweet P. He is so thoughtful! We then had a family breakfast date to Cracker Barrel and drove up to Lake Conroe for a day of fun outside with my parents, Kelly and the three T's, and Keith and Katie. I am SO blessed to be a mommy, and so in love with my precious Parker!

Aledo Birthday

We went on a very quick road trip to Aledo this weekend to celebrate Parker's birthday with Tyson's grandparents and aunts/uncles/cousins since they weren't able to be here on the day of his party.  Once again, it was a GREAT trip and we had a blast playing with all of the family at PawPaw and Gigi's beautiful home!

The first visitors were Mimi and Aukey B and they came with entirely too many gifts for P!  They certainly knew his favorite thing though, and brought him a purple ball that he immediately fell in love with!

Parker was a little shy at first, but then very curious about Mimi...and her wheelchair!

He had fun playing ball with her!  I think she liked it too! :)

Thomas made the trip with us to Aledo...Parker loves playing on that train!

Time for presents!  Parker was a little more interested in the paper than what was inside!

After his nap it was snack time and Mimi kept him company while he ate.

 Too cute!
For dinner that night we went to one of PawPaw and Gigi's favorite Italian places...PawPaw told them we were celebrating Parker's birthday and they came and brought him his very own cheesecake!  Once again, he LOVED the birthday singing!

After a long day traveling, playing and eating cheesecake, this little boy was pooped!  He snuggled up with his Uncle Colby to watch Sesame Street before bed.  SO sweet.

Nanny had another urinary tract infection and hasn't been feeling well, so they admitted her to the hospital.  We went and surprised her there on Saturday morning...she was slightly confused, but absolutely loved seeing both of these boys!

Saturday was absolutely beautiful outside, so Parker and I took a dip in the pool!

He LOVED walking up and down the waterfall....

...but as you can imagine, mommy's back didn't love it quite so much!  An hour in this bent over position just isn't easy on this almost-30-year-old!

He kept trying to "catch" the fountain!

We all got ready for a fun Cinco de Mayo birthday celebration with the Dennis and Corbell families!  Love this baby sombrero!

Like father, like son...

It's not a birthday party without cake!  This one was created as a 3-way effort between Gigi, Tyson and me....it turned out pretty cute!  And he definitely liked how it tasted!

This was just as he was taking the cake and dumping it off the plate...

After a GREAT weekend, this one year old baby boy was exhausted!
