Such a BIG boy!

I really feel like Parker has changed overnight and gone from being a baby to a boy! He literally won't stay in one place anymore...the minute I put him on the ground, he's trying to crawl away! He is still army crawling, but he's getting faster and faster. Yesterday, I put him down in the living room to play with his toys so I could put the groceries away...came in to check on him, and he was gone! Where was he, you ask? All the way under the end table next to our rocking chair with the cord to the lamp in his mouth! Yes, that's right...he totally could've electrocuted himself! Mommy is so not ready for this!

There he goes...ready to play with his exersaucer.

3 days shy of six months old and as of today, he is OFFICIALLY sitting up on his own!! And is this not the CUTEST picture in the world?! I LOVE it!

Playgroup Costume Party

I have come to realize that Halloween was a holiday created by parents so they would have an excuse to put their children in ridiculously cute costumes and take bazillions of pictures of them! Seriously, there is nothing cuter than babies dressed up! So for playgroup this week, we had a costume party and all of the kiddos came sporting their Halloween costumes. Now, I don't think that parents had in mind spending $50 on costumes when they created this holiday, and so needless to say, Parker was going to have to wear a homemade costume that didn't break the bank. And since his daddy's beloved Texas Rangers are in the World Series right now, I thought it was just perfect for him to be a baseball player!

Baseball player meets turtle!

It was so funny to see the way they were looking at one another!

I love this picture! Parker was cracking up at the turtle!

Now the fun starts! My friend had gone a little crazy and bought several Halloween costumes at a discount shop and this one was too big for her son...so Parker got to be a dinosaur for the day! He wasn't quite so sure about it at first!

CUTEST dino EVER!

Of course, we had to get a pic of all of the kiddos in their costumes...which proved to be quite a challenge...

Parker and Collin are slowly sliding down....

The rockstar is trying to escape, the elephant is hot, and the pumpkin is almost buried!

Check out the cutest Halloween jammies, courtesy of Russell, who passed them on to Trent, who passed them on to Parker!!

Haha! Love it!

Yummy, Yummy!!

That's what you'll hear us saying over and over again if you walk into our house at dinnertime these days! But our over excited, high-pitched "yum, yum, yum, yum's" must be working because Parker is starting to like food more and more!

His first night in his big boy seat at the table and of course, Daddy just LOVES this one....Go Rangers!!!

He's opening his mouth for more sweet potatoes!

It appears that mommy is a good cook after all!

Although mommy seriously needs to work on getting the food IN his mouth instead of ON his face!

Even when he was all cleaned off, he still wanted more! :)

Parker in the Pumpkins!

Our playgroup met at a pumpkin patch this week, and wouldn't you know, it was on the first day that it actually felt like fall in Texas! Parker's first official day to wear jeans and I must say, he looked pretty darn cute...especially thanks to the adorable shirt that his Gigi gave him!

Just about tired of the pumpkins by now!!

We saw Nona for a little while late that day...look at the super cute shoes he got from his cousin Trent!

Our fourth night with food...and he did great! He opened his mouth wide and ate about 6 spoonfuls of sweet potatoes!

A BIG week!

It has been such a huge week in the life of our little man! He hit 5 1/2 months old and all of a sudden has changed from a baby to a little boy! He has been sleeping in his own room, in his own crib (yes, he slept in our room for what was probably too long...but his room is all the way upstairs and I felt like he would be lonely!! Plus, he was still waking up to eat once at night, and who wants to walk up all those stairs at 3:00 am?!) and has been sleeping through the night! We have been trying out some solid food too! And, of course, he has become mobile and started army crawling around! Like I said, it's been one BIG week for Parker James!

Getting ready to try out some homemade sweet potatoes!

This face says it ALL! He was NOT a fan of sweet potatoes OR oatmeal!

As a matter of fact, he wouldn't even open his mouth!

On the same day of his first official food and his first official time crawling, we went to a wedding and he got some lovin' from Aunt Kelly!

Look at his poor knees from crawling so hard!

This sweet boy was so determined to get to the remote control and the iPad that he got rug burn!

Our second attempt with solids....only SLIGHTLY better than the night before.

Cool weather FINALLY made it to Texas!

He's all bundled up and ready for his morning walk with mommy!

How SWEET is that face!?
