11 Months!

Is it really possible that our baby will be ONE next month?  Time really does fly when you're having fun and playing mommy!  I just can't hardly believe I'm already planning his first birthday.  I'm sure all of the moms out there think the same thing...it feels like yesterday.  It really does feel just like yesterday that he was born...and now he's one month shy of being ONE!  Just when I thought it wasn't possible for Parker to get any more busy...he does!  This has been a big month once again....he has found a new love for any kind of ball and preciously throws them around the house and chases them, he claps his hands, waves bye-bye (usually backwards), says "Hi!" in the cutest voice you've ever heard, climbs up the stairs and turns around to "go down easy" on his tummy, LOVES to clap his hands, points to his mouth, and nods his head "yes"!  He isn't walking just yet, but he's getting SO close and will walk around holding onto just one of our hands.  He is pretty much only eating table foods now and is almost entirely off of baby food.  Pretty sure he would eat about 3 whole bananas a day if I would let him!  He likes chicken nuggets, asparagus (the only green I can get him to eat!), pears, grilled cheese, cantaloupe, BANANAS, and apples.  We gave him his first donut hole this month too and he devoured it! (Only half of one...) He also had his first McDonald's hamburger and loved it...I'm sure it won't be his last!  He has also started drinking whole milk at lunch!  The first time I gave it to him he gulped it down like it was the best thing he'd ever tasted!  He's only nursing twice a day now and it's crazy to think that he'll be totally done with it in a month! He is slowly starting to figure out that he might feel a little bit upset when he doesn't get his way and I think it could be the start of what will surely become a tantrum in the future.  All I know is, when mommy closes the dishwasher and tells him it's not time to play in it, he puts his head down and starts to cry!  I don't think I'm ready for this part yet!  Here are some SUPER cute pics that I got of him today and yesterday....he was hamming it up for the camera and putting on his best smile for sure!

Here he is with his big boy cup of milk!

St. Patty's Day with the Sadler Crew

We took a little trip to see the three T's (Tess, Trent and Tenley) for St. Patrick's Day because Kelly and Robert were having a big cookout with all of their neighbors.  Parker, of course, had a blast playing with his cousins and all of the neighborhood kids!  Then, we took the kiddos to have their pictures taken in the bluebonnets and for some lunch at none other than McDonald's with Nona and Papa!  Yes, that's right, mark it down as Parker's first official McDonald's hamburger.  I'm ashamed to admit that....HE.LOVED.IT.

A Friday night wagon ride with mommy and daddy!

 He LOVES to clap!

All decked out in his green for St. Patty's day!

Tess took Parker for a ride in her jeep!

Gosh, that's one good looking boy!

His first time in a big boy car seat in Aunt Kelly's car!  He loved it!

 SO SWEET!

Who is this giant yellow and red clown?!

His first taste of Mickey D's!

 He's SO big!

Parker loved his hamburger but I think he liked the toy that came with his happy meal even more!

Tess was cracking Parker up on the way home from lunch!

Playing on the Sadler's new playground!

Parker was having fun playing with the ball...and then Dixie spotted it and wouldn't leave him alone!  She just wanted him to throw it!

 I was cracking up!

Another fun week!

Minus ANOTHER ear infection, it has been yet another fun week in the life of Parker James. Daddy was in a wedding last weekend and he and Mommy were supposed to have a romantic getaway while Parker spent some time with Nona & Papa...only Sweet P came down with a 103 fever on Friday morning, just as we were supposed to leave! So daddy went to the wedding and mommy stayed home and took sweet baby P to the doctor where we found out that once again, it was an ear infection that was making him feel bad! Thank goodness for the tubes though because his ears really don't seem to hurt near as much as they used to and all we have to do is put drops in them rather than put him on an antibiotic. Still, its just never easy to see your baby feeling bad and you can't do anything to make it better! He is finally feeling better and has had a really big week! He is clapping on command, saying "hi!", can nod his head yes when we ask him to, waves bye-bye, can point to his mouth and occasionally his belly button, has learned how to push the button on his pop-up toy to "find the panda", and will "go down easy" on his tummy to get down the stairs! He is really starting to understand us! He loves, loves, LOVES his daddy and will stand at the door almost as if he is looking for him! He also LOVES Journey and climbs all over her...much to her dismay. He is changing more and more with each day!

Play date at the park

Parker's buddy, Asher, and his mommy, Ashleigh, came over the other day for a little play date. It was a beautiful day out, so we loaded the boys up in the wagon and walked down to the park to let them play.  They had so much fun! (And so did the mommies!)

My little cutie pie, just waiting for his friend to come over.

Asher had some leftover whiffle balls from his birthday party that he brought for them to play with!

 Haha!  I love this one!

 Doesn't he look SO big?!

I mean, so big, and SO precious!

 He was having fun exploring...

...and playing with the mulch, of course!

Their friend, Caden and his mommy, Heather, came over to play too.

Parker kind of stole Asher's Cherrios...

How CUTE is this?!  It's like they're having a huddle!!
