Our "baby moon" to NYC!

Since Tyson had never been to NYC before, we decided that we should definitely take a trip there before the baby came. He suggested that we go during Christmas because he knows how MUCH I LOVE everything about Christmas...and he couldn't have been more right. It was just magical! We froze our rear-ends off, walked until our feet completely ached, and had an absolute BLAST! We saw just about everything there was to see in our whirlwind 4 day trip to the Big Apple...here are some pics from our Christmasy Baby Moon!

At the airport waiting for our very first NYC Taxi ride...

First stop...Times Square!

Tyson was amazed with all of the screens!

There are Christmas decorations on every corner!

He is a serious fan of the show "30 Rock", so we most definitely had to come here!

The infamous 30 Rock Christmas Tree and skating rink...it really is as pretty as it looks!

30 Rock

Our first night in New York we navigated the subways to "Lombardi's" which is the very FIRST pizza restaurant in Manhattan...it was seriously the BEST pizza we have EVER had anywhere EVER.

The first morning there we went on a tour of the NBC studios...no cameras allowed, but we saw all kinds of neat places - like where they film Saturday Night Live and the Nightly News with Brian Williams. They have a store with literally all different kinds of NBC merchandise, and Tyson of course, found a "Dundee" from The Office.

We went to the "Top of the Rock" for some great views of the city.

And how could we NOT have a Magnolia Cupcake? Baby T loved it.

Grand Central Station

I LOVED Bryant Park. They have a beautiful Christmas tree and a huge ice skating rink that we sat down beside, drank hot chocolate and listened to Christmas carols.

We went to the Radio City Christmas Spectacular (Tyson was thrilled!) to see the Rockettes...
it was fantastic!

They even did a whole scene where they read the Christmas story from the bible and talked about Jesus being born...yes, the REAL reason for Christmas!

What better way to end an already Christmasy day than with a trip to the 30 Rock tree all lit up at night!

A walk through Times Square just because we could!

We went on an awesome boat tour of the entire NYC Harbor...here's Tman with the Brooklyn Bridge.

Lady Liberty - every bit as impressive as you would've thought.

We drank hot chocolate and watched the ice skaters in Central Park...just like my favorite movie Serendipity!

"The Mall" at Central Park

K&T in one of the bright green grassy fields in Central Park

We had a delicious "pre-theatre" Italian meal before going to see Wicked!

He was surprised by how much he liked it....I LOVED IT!

We HAD to take Baby T to FAO Schwarz!

A kid's paradise!

Or an adult's too!

We MISS YOU Australia!!!!

We searched the store for a present for Baby T...not knowing if it's a boy or girl made this choice a bit difficult, BUT, we finally settled on the adorably sweet, and super cuddly puppy dog.

What would NYC at Christmas be without a trip to Macy's!?

We stopped by the Today Show and saw Ann Curry!

On our last day we made a final stop at 30 Rock...

And another trip to Bryant Park to watch the ice skaters!

One last look at Times Square...

And a stop off at M&M world to buy a present for Tess! Her mom and dad are SO thankful that we brought her back a huge butterfly filled with chocolate! :)

20 Weeks!

It's so hard to believe that we are halfway through this pregnancy! In the beginning the weeks seemed to go by so slowly, and now I feel like I blink and it's been another week. We just went into the hospital for our "big" 20 week anatomy ultrasound and it was absolutely AMAZING! They spend so much time looking at the baby and measuring each and every tiny organ and limb that we got to stare at Baby T for almost 30 minutes. Of course, we had to look away while they examined the lower half of the baby so we wouldn't find out what it was....that one ultrasound nurse is the ONLY person who knows what we're having! I told her she was lucky that my mom didn't know her name or she'd be sure to track her down and find out. (Don't deny it mom, you know it's true!) Our many prayers were once again answered and everything looked beautiful and measured exactly perfect. They took a lot of pictures and sent us home with a disc, but these were the only 4 they let us have. My absolute favorite is the profile of Baby T's sweet face....gosh, I can't wait to see it in person.

The baby bump grows...

We have been taking pictures every two weeks to keep track of my ever growing belly! (I have to give myself a shot in the tummy each morning, so the bruises make it quite unattractive - but I still love it!)
