"I prayed for this child and the Lord has granted me what I asked of Him." 1 Samuel 1:27
We have had some amazing adventures in our short 4 1/2 years of marriage. We've traveled the world together, lived in another country, bought our first home and car, and become Aunt Karis & Uncle TyTy to name a few. And we have felt the blessing of the Lord throughout. The adventure to become parents has quite possibly been our hardest, yet most rewarding adventure yet. Our quest for a baby began over a year and a half ago. It has been an emotionally trying journey that strengthened our faith and trust in the goodness of God. It's been an adventure filled with hope, sadness, love, expectation, patience, and simple amazement for Christ. We have been surrounded by incredible family and friends who have helped us in more ways than they'll ever know. We've been covered with love and we wouldn't have been able to do it without all of you. I can't begin to count the number of prayers that have been lifted up for us and this baby, but He has most definitely heard them. He provided patience while we waited, gave us peace when we couldn't understand, and filled us with joy through each tear. We have most definitely felt the blessing of the Lord throughout this adventure. Hope in Him never disappoints, because I can happily say that WE ARE PREGNANT! We had a year and a half of heartache, but we have now experienced 21 weeks of complete and pure JOY as our baby grows.
"And not only this, but we also exult in our tribulations, knowing that tribulation brings about perseverance; and perseverance, proven character; and proven character, HOPE; and hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out within our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us." Romans 5:3-5
