Where has the time gone?

I just realized that the last post I put on here was over a month ago!!!  What in the world has been happening to where a month has gone by and I feel like it was only a blink?  I'll tell you what...a full blown toddler, that's what!  Oh how my mom was right....the days are long, but the years are short.  If months keep going by this fast, Parker will literally be 16 tomorrow!
At 17 months, he is using his own fork and spoon to feed himself....I have decided that he needs to do it more than I need for him to be clean.  Even though it sometimes kills me!  He has been talking up a storm lately and will generally try and say almost anything I ask him to.  Ice, boots, shoes, socks, dip-dip, "nack" (for snack), yo-yo (yogurt), keys, and my absolute FAVORITE...Amen! (it is the CUTEST!) He picks up so quickly on things and lately will respond with the most precious "naaaay" when I ask him what a horse says.  He can also answer with "meow" for a cat and a super cute "mooo" for a horse!  He has been slightly confused on my name, and is semi-getting the hang of the fact that I am not da-da.  So now when he wants me, he'll sort of call out da-da-ma-ma-da-da just to cover all of his bases.  Still obsessed with balls, and most recently, PENS.  As a matter of fact, he is fascinated with them, can find them no matter where I hide them, and even knows how to hold one correctly.  Unfortunately, he has not quite grasped that they are only for writing on paper!!  Yes, the walls and his clothes and furniture all have some sort of scribble on them.  Oh, memories!

We generally make it over to the park a few nights a week after dinner...he loves playing with daddy there!

Aunt Kelly and Uncle Robert were due for a weekend away together, so I volunteered to babysit all of the kiddos alone!  We all survived and the house was still standing when they got home! :)

Parker loves to check the mail every day!

We went to a charity bowling event for one of our friends...only he wanted the skee-balls instead of the bowling balls!

 Perhaps the next Shakespeare?

A day out with daddy to Bass Pro Shops!

Oh, that daddy.  He is the best!  Shopping with him is WAAAAY more exciting than shopping with mommy!

 Adorable!

A friend of mine was really sick, so we watched her son, Owen, for a day to help her have time to recuperate.  Parker loved having a playmate all day long!

 TOO CUTE!!

If you weren't aware, most of the clothes Parker owns are either hand-me-downs from Trent, or gifts from his super sweet Gigi.  Lately, he's been trying to put on Tyson's boots, so I pulled these out of the hand-me-down bag we just got from Aunt Kelly and he LOVED them!!

He was SO proud of his boots!!

Same day...as above.  He was a Cowboys fan by day, and a Texans fan by night!

Mommy made cookies and let him try some of the batter!  Is that wrong?  No worms in his tummy as of yet!
