Happy First Father's Day!

Parker absolutely LOVES his daddy and we had so much fun celebrating his very first Father's Day this weekend! Tyson is a natural dad and watching how amazing he is with our son has made me fall in love with him a million times over. I can't wait to watch Parker as he grows up and realizes just how lucky he is to have such a loving and simply wonderful daddy!! Happy First Father's Day, Tyson!! We both LOVE you SOO much!

We decided to make it an entire Father's Day weekend to celebrate our special dad, and started out by meeting him for lunch at Luby's.

Daddy chose Luby's and of course, they just so happened to have $2 Chicken Fried Steak that day!

Parker was so excited about seeing daddy all morning that he wore himself out and slept through our lunch!

He took a great nap with his seahorse when we got home!

Later that night, daddy and Parker played - no one can make Parker smile like daddy can!

Daddy has become a master diaper changer!

Parker and mommy made a special cake for daddy on Friday!

He loved the surprise and it tasted GREAT!

On Saturday morning we woke up early (well, Parker woke up early so we did too!) and took daddy out to breakfast at his favorite restaurant - Cracker Barrel!

Once again, Parker was so excited beforehand that he slept through breakfast!

On actual Father's Day morning mommy made breakfast for daddy and Parker gave him snuggles and gifts!

I think of all the presents Parker gave him, this was his favorite one.

We wanted to spend the day doing things daddy loves to do, so after church, we went to Bass Pro Shops so he could look around

We had to show him that he really is the #1 Dad, so we found this hat and shirt that was made just for him! :)

Later that night, daddy and Parker played and Parker could not stop smiling at him!!!

Our precious Sweet P was tuckered out after an amazing day with daddy!!

All Smiles!!

Parker James has most definitely found his smile and it just melts mommy and daddy's heart! He has found his voice too and has been cooing like crazy! He is so interactive and we are having such fun playing with him!! We just went to his SIX week appointment at the doctor and he has grown into such a big boy...he weighs 10.2 lbs (40th percentile), is 21 3/4 inches long (35th percentile) and is going to be so smart because his head is measuring in the 67th percentile! Dr. Peterson told us at his 16 week ultrasound he was a very advanced baby, and I guess this just confirms it! :) Here are several pics of our smiley Sweet P from the past two weeks!

We put him under his Baby Einstein playgym to see if he would like it...

...and he wasn't quite sure at first but then...

...he realized that he LOVED it!!

Aunt Emily came over to visit one day, and Parker couldn't help but lounge out for an awesome nap on her lap!

We went to a baby shower and cousin Tess couldn't WAIT to hold baby Parker!

Of course, Aunt Kelly couldn't wait to snuggle with Parker either...and he loved it so much that he finally found his thumb to suck on!

Before today, he had only ever sucked on his fist...but it looks like he finally figured out where his thumb is.

Parker LOVES bathtime! He smells SO good afterwards and we love snuggling with him in his cute jammies!

We went out with Aunt Emily and Uncle Greg for his first dinner out at a restaurant!

Of course, he was an angel and slept the whole time!

We finally got the adapter we needed for our BOB jogging stroller and took Parker for a family stroll....he loved it!! (And so did we!)

We figured out that riding in the stroller=great nap time for Parker man! Thank you, Gigi, for such an awesome stroller!!!

One Month!!

I never knew a month could go by so quickly. This has been the fastest month of my life. I guess that's because it's been the BEST month of my life. Sleepless nights, endless diaper changes, laundry like never before - doesn't quite sound like the best does it? Rocking our precious baby, melting at every sound he makes, watching him smile at daddy for the first time, feeling like my heart will burst with love at any minute, and wasting away the day staring at him are what make it the best. Parker has brought so much joy into our lives in this one month - more so than I ever thought possible. Last night Tyson said "It feels like he's been with us forever.". That couldn't be more true! Four short weeks and it feels like we've known him all of our life together. He is such a miracle. Such a gift. I am so thankful that God made us wait for him.

He's already grown so much in a month! He's starting to stare at us and track us with his eyes. And of course, his very first smile was most definitely at his daddy! When we hold him he tries so hard to pick his head up - he has such a strong neck already! He is doing great with tummy time, and sometimes even falls asleep while he's trying to suck on his fist. He loves bath time and his baby massage afterwards. Swinging is one of his favorite things to do (other than rocking with mommy or daddy of course!) and he has loved going on walks in the stroller! Happy ONE Month, my precious SWEET P!
