Another month has literally flown by. And Sweet Baby P just keeps getting bigger by the day. He had a very busy 15th month full of traveling, playing and pulling everything possible out of every drawer in the house. Again. And again. And again. You would think an hourly ritual of pulling the same toothbrush out of the same drawer, taking one glance at it, throwing it on the floor, and repeating until the remaining contents of the drawer had made it onto the floor as well would get slightly boring. But not for Parker James. We found a new park that is perfect for Parker where he mastered going down the slide all by himself...thus introducing him to a brand new love. His newest word is courtesy of the "hot-dog dance" at the end of Mickey Mouse Clubhouse...yes, you guessed it: hot-dog. But he also has been loving to eat hot dogs for dinner and will even ask for them...so our brilliant son has figured out that it's not just a fun dance...it's a delicious dinnertime treat as well. Climbing is still his #1 fave, which explains the stepstool in our living room. (see pics below!) I may be exhausted after chasing him around by the end of the day...but I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world. I love my husband for working SO hard and allowing me to stay at home with him. Mommy is a job that never ends. It's a job that's frustrating, exhausting, and requires much patience. But it's a job that has given me 487 consecutive days of snuggles, joy and a love that could never be described in words. It's a job where the payment comes in the form of ticklish laughter, sweet kisses, adorable smiles and bring-tears-to-your-eyes random hugs. There could never be anything more rewarding than that.
Mommy and daddy had a weekend away in San Antonio with PawPaw and Gigi, so Parker went to stay at Nona & Papa's house. He loves playing in this car!
And he also LOVES going for a golf-cart ride with Papa.
Now, I can't say that he LOVES the Texans when he was born a true Dallas Cowboys fan...but goodness gracious, his Papa sure is trying to persuade him. This is the picture they sent us when we checked in on Parker from San Antonio...Papa & Nona are brainwashing him!
Would you believe me if I told you I had never been to The Alamo in all my 30 years?
That's right...Tyson had to fill me in on the history of it as we walked through because I moved to Texas AFTER the age that they teach Texas History in school. And I know what you're thinking...I was a second grade teacher but we never had to teach it to our kids either!
After a fun day of sightseeing, we were pampered at the spa (oh PawPaw and Gigi, how you spoil us!) and then we had a fantastic dinner and saw our favorite comedian, Brian Regan in this gorgeous theatre.
We woke up on Saturday missing Parker like CRAZY (it's funny how one night away can make us SO sad for him!) so you can imagine that on Sunday we were definitely ready to get back to our little man. Of course, he was dressed wearing this. Tyson still hugged him despite the Texans red & blue. ;)
And after two nights without snuggles, milk and Mickey...I was definitely ready to have this little boy in my lap again!
All smiles when he woke up from a nap one day....look how hard he slept! His eyes were so puffy but he woke up in the best mood ever.
This is what happens when you put ketchup on his plate and let him dip the hot-dog all by himself...
It's safe to say he loves ketchup.
The AC went out and needed a very long repair so we spent the day up at Aunt Kelly's house to keep cool and let the kids play...
He desperately wanted to drive but he's just not quite got the steering thing down yet! ;)
I think he really would've tried to get over onto the stool if I wouldn't have stopped him!
What's that? Sell the stock at 8?
Mom. I'm doing business here.
The perfect park for Parker! You can see it on his face!
Going down all by himself. When did he get so big?!
This is just about the BEST picture I have ever taken of him. Ever.
Family night at the park
Daddy was trying to steal some kisses and Parker was cracking up at him!
So. Sweet.
Playing with daddy's nose.
Such a great way to end the day!
Parker was a little fussy at Walmart one day, so the best mommy in the world stopped by the counter and introduced him to where they keep the *free cookies*!
That may or may not have been a huge mistake on my part...while it made him happy, it then made him very unhappy when the cookie was all gone!
Our old next door neighbors moved built a new house and had us over for dinner...it was a blast, their house is beautiful and best of all, they have these amazing gates to trap the kids upstairs so we could eat in peace! Well, as much peace as you can while they stand there screaming to get out!
Just open a step stool and this boy is happy.
A new game. Take mommy's wallet on top of the step stool and empty everything out of it.
He did NOT want the corn to be cut off the cobb.
He was determined to just bite it off! And he loved it!
We drove out to see our house last Friday and WOW!
And this is what it looked like on Wednesday! WINDOWS!!
Tess came to spend the night for a couple of days...Parker is in love with her!
And she thinks she is his mommy! Too stinking cute!
